After purchasing the wrong RFID module (134 kHz tags do not work with 125 kHz readers), I found what should be the right one: RFID module for 134,2 kHz - for animals. Its core is a squared PCB with 2 Chips, of which however I could not find much since they have no information printed on them.I am looking for an Arduino-compatible RFID reader supporting ISO 11784 & 11785, in order to read tags used for animals (mostly cats and dogs) identification. I found both RMD660 and and Sniffer Nano v2.0 from ITead Studio, but they are out of stock. Is there any alternative?PLT-RFID-M3E-X – RFID Reader Module 125kHz, 134.2kHz, 13.56MHz from ThingMagic, a JADAK brand. Pricing and Availability on millions of electronic components from Digi-Key Electronics.

A good source for 125 kHz products is eBay where there are new card entry systems, OEM reader boards and card tags. 134.2 kHz is the international standard frequency for animals, primarily livestock and cattle as described in ISO 11784/11785. I am trying to create a reader that can read my cat's chip. I bought this sensor on Amazon here(LINK). I tried to configure it, but I am not receiving any data from the RX serial port.FDX-B (pet microchip) and EM4100 RFID Reader for ESP32. This app along with suitable hardware will decode the tags in microchipped pets used in the UK and EU which all use the 134.2kHz biphase encoded FDX-B protocol. It can also be used to decode the 125kHz Manchester encoded EM4100 tags.

RFID Reader Modules The characteristics are type, frequency, interface, and package/case. The types are read or read/write with frequencies ranging from 125 kHz to 960 MHz and with an interface being Bluetooth, Ethernet, I2C, RS232, RS422, RS485, TTL, UART, or USB. If an RFID-tag is in range the blue led will light up and there should be bytes output on the serial. I added an extra TTL converter to get the reset pin to ground, which will reset the RFID. This way I can see how long the tag is still in range.Animal Micro Chip Scanner RFID Reader Arduino. This is a Arduino based scanner for animal micro chips.
