I used a Game Tracker years ago.It had a 2500 ft spool of light tough flo. orange string inside a spool that screwed into your stabilizer hole.The dart was made by Dodge Enterprises.One piece would glue to your shaft just behind the broadhead;then the dart would snap into this piece.You then attached the dart to the string from your tracker.When the arrow . Anything that turns the natural path of the flight will cause a loss of kinetic energy. The hook being just slightly off to the side will catch and change the natural path of the arrow causing it to loose KE. Similar set up on the nock end of the arrow would probably be better but more dangerous to the archer. JMOYMMV. Skeptic. 14752 posts

The Tracker is made by Arctic Cat (owned by Textron) and is a very quiet machine. I looked at them very seriously. Textron is a massive company with aerospace background and the quality system that goes along with that industry. I acquired a set of arrows and 1 odd ball arrow is a Game Tracker AFC V-MAX 2300.It is very thin, 31.25" long (v in knock to end of aluminum collar), has 4" straight vanes and the tip seems to be a blunted heavy field tip but the tip is set in what seems to be an aluminum collar that is about 1.5" long and the arrow shaft seems epoxied into that aluminum collar.
